After arriving with a single suitcase and a busted phone, Sasha Williams realizes she’s stranded at a train station in the Swiss Alps. Due to the kindness of the train attendant, she borrows a Vespa and sets out for her new job as an English teacher in Glockenwald. But life’s got jokes and as the sun slips behind the mountains, the Vespa gets a flat. Unable to catch a break, Sasha relies on a mysterious bearded lumberjack on a motorcycle, Ricky, who finally gets her safely to a small town.
In order to hide from her abusive ex, Sasha deleted all of her social media and changed all of her contact information. She’s alone in a small town where she barely knows the language. Throughout her journey, she’s learning to be more confident and she is worthy of love. Maybe Ricky is the temptation she needs to overcome her turbulent past. But what will happen when she discovers that Ricky isn’t the bearded lumberjack of her fantasy?

“This is my first Eb slayer book, but it will not be my last. I can’t wait for the second and third book. Sasha is a domestic violence survivor who has moved across the world to Switzerland, where she meets Ricky Ricky is so amazing. He is patient, thoughtful, and cares so much for her especially right at the time Sasha so desperately needs it. This is such a beautiful story that had the lot packed into it mental health abuse, consent and a beautiful love story very well done” —Dorothy Scott
